It's also the only robotic vacuum/mop that scored a perfect 10 out of 10 in our evaluations. This is thanks to a combination modern sensors, including a restructured light system, camera, and a variety of lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that is fully autonomously refill and empty its base station, and boasts an its own self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40 is, like the other iRobot products, is simple to operate. It has an easy mobile app interface that is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only drawback is that it's an eerily noisy device, which can be an issue if you use it in the morning before work or at night as you try to sleep.

It's also quite expensive but not as much as the Ecovacs S8 MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are both equally impressive and attractive. If you're willing to live with a little more noise and some extra cost, this is a very efficient two-in-one device that should delight most.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra
