World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade

Item upgrades allow players to increase the level of equippable weapons and armor. This improves the power of the equipment, in addition to sometimes adding buffs or rolling an affix again.

Glyphs, which are placed in tools for gathering are able to be swapped without any restrictions.

By selecting the item and pressing the green button with a a rerolling arrow, a player can roll it into an upgradeable item level upgrade. This will change the layout and allow players to choose up to six items for "recycling". The item that is recycled will be exchanged for an item at level 1 of the same type. Recycled items will not keep their level, or the resources used to upgrade it.

The maximum upgrade level of an item is determined by the item's tier as well as its quality.
