Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of removing dry debris (dust dirt) and wet mess (spills and stains) in one session without the need to change devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Find models that automatically empty their bins, refill their water tank, and wash their mopping pads from a dedicated dock.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has plenty to offer for its modest price, and it's among the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start guide gets you running in no time with an entire dust bag, water tank, and hard floor solution.

The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can mops up a storm and is a great vacuum cleaner too. The mops spin at fast speeds and apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, making short work of dirt, pet hair, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a selection of brushes and attachments and a user-friendly app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

You can, for example request the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models cannot. The only problem is that the robot tends to hit objects and walls at full speed. However looking at the history of cleaning on the app will tell you precisely what the robot has completed, where it's moving, and what obstacles he has run into or avoided.

The docking station has an LCD display that indicates the need for maintenance like emptying the debris and washing the dirty water tank. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank using a 600ml bottle of the eufy's solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop can run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in standard mode, before needing to recharge or returning back to the base. You can view the entire cleaning information in the app, which is clearly laid out and easily understood, though we would like to be able to distinguish between a vacuum and mop clean, when looking at a clean area in the history of cleaning robot mop and vacuum.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot hoover and mop mop and vacuum. It's not like the model from last year it comes with an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which significantly improves its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity that enables it to pull up smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners may miss.

Like the two other Roborock models I've tested, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that helps it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by incorporating a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they're an object that is a wall or a different surface. It will then automatically alter its path and clean around them without skipping a beat.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed however, it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek, angular design is eye catching and only has three physical buttons. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning process, a mop button that doubles as a child-lock and a home button to send the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin is auto vacuum and mop-filling.

The only issue I encountered to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. It is possible to change the mopping cloth if needed, but it's difficult to remove the mount for manual washing. I've found that any plush carpet the robot vacuum with mop crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, and that could cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of clever features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app is where you can manage and configure these smart features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. You'll need to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how well-performing it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is an industry leader with its innovative features, top suction power, and advanced mopping capabilities. Its smart design allows you to customize and efficiently clean while saving time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to feature 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum can clean up pet hair dust, crumbs and any other dry debris. It also comes with a top-quality mop that leaves floors sparkling clean, even without a wet pad. Additionally, the X40 is very quiet during operation, only producing occasional bursts of sound when switching between modes or performing self-maintenance tasks.

The X40 has an additional side brush that can be lifted and extended. This lets it reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean furniture that is curved like chairs and table legs. It also allows the robot to access low-profile furniture making it an ideal choice for small apartments and condominiums with small spaces. The side brush automatically tilts down when it detects wet spots. This is a great feature that allows the X40 to avoid damaging floors by repeated back-and-forth movements.

In contrast to other robots that solely focus on one task, the X40 is capable of performing both vacuuming and mopping at the same time or separately. It can also be programmed to skip areas with carpets and mop only hard floors or vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is easy to use and understand, and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are simple to configure. Users can program the X40 to clean at certain times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, alter modes, look at maps and floor plans, and manage mopping setting. The X40 can also monitor its progress and notify you when it's done.

The X40 is easy to maintain and has many features that make it a great option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a huge 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, then refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It also can detect when the mop pad is overflowing and alert you before it overflows, thus reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot vacuum Cleaners Best is one of the most expensive models available. It does have several characteristics that make it stand out. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub. This utilizes two mops that are high-speed to clean floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and has the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can remove pet hair and small dirt particles - in addition to removing spills and wet spots.

The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station each time they are used. This feature is great as it keeps mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen on other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great method to keep your home cleaner longer.

There's a wealth of settings on offer which include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a variety of preferences. They can be set through the app or there are direct buttons on the unit itself. The app is simple to use and has a lot of options for customizing the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are numerous features that other robots do not have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles instead of using an individual setting.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen on the market, sporting metallic and white colors that looks elegant and classy. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots on this listing but it's not a lot of weight. It feels solid and well-constructed. The mopping system is also well designed and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them extend up to 2mm below the baseboards.
