They're easy to open and close, however I found their plastic textured coatings a bit hard on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator includes the full suite of features you'd expect from a fridge at this price with Wi-Fi and app support through GE's SmartHQ software. The app is available for iOS and Android devices and allows you to control your refrigerator from any place around the world. It also comes with many options for customization. It also alerts you when doors are left open, when your fridge or freezer needs to be defrosted and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be nice if GE PYE22PYNFS included Precise fill, an option available in a few other GE refrigerators that allows you to set the number of cups of water you'd like to dispense at once. The fridge displays a countdown timer to display how much water is left, but it's not as effective as Precise fill.

The LG LRFLC2706S counter-depth fridge is a great choice for those who require lots of space within a small frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. The fridge is built with the standard French door design, and two rows of shelving with spill-capture and a set of crisper drawers. The top right shelf can be folded down to give taller items more headroom. You'll also find a full width drawer for deli items and an internal water dispenser.

One of the best features of this refrigerator is that the Ice maker is located in the freezer, making it easy to transfer frozen ice to the fridge to use as needed. The freezer also features clever design features, like sliding drawers that allow you to organize your items. It also comes with a large bin that holds plenty of frozen food items and an additional container for storing ice.

Another great feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. It lets you manage the refrigerator's temperature, lighting, and more via your smartphone. It's a good method of monitoring and managing your refrigerator, especially when you're away from home.

The Smart InstaView feature is neat however it doesn't improve the efficiency of the fridge. In fact it took longer to defrost and chill foods in this fridge than some of the others we test. This could be due to its larger capacity.

Another issue with the doors of this refrigerator. They have sunken handles on the front, which allow shorter people to easily open them from the bottom, but they're not easy for taller people to steer closed without slamming the doors. It would have been better if these had front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a good choice for those who want to combine the benefits of a fridge with a French door with an efficient layout. It has a capacity that is above average for counter-depth models and is able to cool evenly. It's also a bit less than the best counter-depth refrigerators that have an ice maker, which helps make it a popular choice.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also pair this fridge with an intelligent thermometer to get more precise measurements of your fridge's internal temperature.

The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's exterior is constructed of stainless steel with a grey-bodied body which has a "smudge-proof" finish. It does an excellent job of repelling fingerprints and streaks even when compared to the glossier stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tested.
