World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade

Item upgrade allows players to raise the item level of weapons and armor that are equippable. This improves the effectiveness of the gear, as well as sometimes adding buffs or rolling an affix again.

It is important to keep in mind that although you can upgrade magic and other common equipment, it's generally not worth the cost. Rare and unique equipment will quickly surpass upgraded magic and common gear.

Cost

The player has to spend gold to upgrade an item. The cost of upgrading an item is based on the item's current status and the type of upgrade. Upgrades to weapons are usually cheaper than upgrades for armor because weapons have lower requirements. The amount of Gold needed increases as an item is upgraded.

The upgraded items will also have improved stats that can improve its performance in a variety of ways. This includes increasing its attack power critical strike chance, or damage per second. In addition an upgraded item might be able to provide extra buffs to the unit it is equipped with. These upgrades are able to increase the overall power of a group or individual unit, and may be a major influence on the gameplay.

Any item upgrader NPC can be located in the game. Typically these NPCs are found in major cities or questing locations. Players can also locate item upgraders when they visit dungeons with high-level bosses, or by chatting with NPCs in their garrisons for their faction.

The World of Warcraft item upgrade system allows players to upgrade the level of their weapons, armor, and trinkets. The process is similar to that of gear reforging in Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor, but instead of using the appropriate currency, players must visit an item upgrader NPC to complete the process.

Item upgrades can be expensive, particularly when it concerns armor and weapons. Based on the upgrade path, each step up in item level can cost several Valorstones and crests. The total cost could be very prohibitive for players who don't have the resources or are unwilling to grind them.

The game lets you reroll a upgraded item using a special tool from the menu of items. This option allows you to exchange the upgraded item for an equivalent level 1 version of it which comes with an additional set of bonus effects. This is useful for obtaining better scores on items that have already been upgraded, but it can also be a waste of time and resources.

Requirements

The process of upgrading equipmentable items like armor, weapons and trinkets is to raise the level of the item. This improves their power and makes them more effective in combat. Players can upgrade their gear by paying the appropriate amount of currency at an upgrader. Players should be aware the fact that some upgrades require specific requirements.

Initial upgrades only boost the power of the item's base level. Later upgrades offer more significant enhancements. For example, upgrading a weapon from level three to level six will increase the weapon's damage by two levels. A bonus stat will be added to the upgraded item based on its level. The bonus is a combination of a guaranteed additional substat and a random statistic that will vary in value from upgrade to upgrade.

Reroll Tokens can be used to reroll an item which has been upgraded. The new item has a different set of extra bonuses, and is of a lower level for the item. The rerolled item is also likely to have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to note that the rerolled item does not have its original level or any wasted resource.

Some upgraded items are only able to be rerolled if the initial item was Unique, Rare or Epic. Exceptional items can also be rerolled but the original stats are replaced with a flat-rate bonus. Rerolling a Rare item will result in a Normal version of the same type, while rerolling an Epic item will result in an elite version of the same kind.

Upgraded items may have additional modifications that can enhance their performance and boost their stats. These additional modifiers are not included in the upgrade cost. They can be obtained through questing, buying them on the Trading Post or from other players. They can also be earned by fulfilling specific missions in the game.

To upgrade an item upgrading of equipment it is necessary to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine. Depending on the kind of item, you will require one or more Power Dices (Dice 6 is available from monsters 21+ and Giants; Dice 12 is available from Bosses). Take advantage of the benefits

The upgrade of items rewards players with a range of items and currency. Each upgrade also has the chance to award an random stat bonus. The value of the bonus will vary for each upgrade, and it's generally higher for items that are rarer. The players can perform a Great Vault search to see whether an item can be upgraded prior to spending tickets. The search can also determine whether the item is of a certain tier and if the player would benefit from an upgrade.

During the upgrade process, an item will gradually grow closer to the next level but not always reach its maximum upgrade bar. The process will consume Growthstones and Sollant and Sollant, but there's a ten percent chance to get a fully upgraded item with just one cycle of growth. The more levels an item is upgraded to the higher its boosted stat value and the more items it is able to upgrade into.

Upgrade components can be integrated into armor, weapons and trinkets to give an attribute benefit or an additional effect while the equipment is being used. Certain upgrade item components can be equipped with additional cosmetic effects. Players can obtain upgrade components by crafting, purchasing from vendors or on the Trading Post, looting, or as rewards. In addition, players can recover upgraded items using an Upgrade Extractor or salvaging them with a salvage kit. Glyphs, which are stored in gathering tools can be exchanged without restriction.

By selecting the item and pressing the green button, which has an arrow that rerolls, a player can roll it into an upgradeable item. This will alter the layout of the game and allow players to choose up to six items for "recycling". The item that is recycled will be exchanged with a level 1 item upgrader kit of the same type. Recycled items will not keep their level or the amount of resources needed to upgrade them.

The maximum upgrade level of an item is determined by the item's level and its quality. Rare and Epic items can be upgraded to levels of nine, while common items can only be upgraded up to level six.
