However, it did struggle a little when encountering longer-pile carpets and some long, thick messes of dried-on debris.

Like all robots, the S1 Pro comes ready to roll out of the box and only requires an initial mapping session to figure out how it can navigate your home. The map will be displayed in the app and you can join or add rooms as needed. You can also design virtual boundaries such as no-mop zones, no-go zones, and no-go areas if you don't wish the robot hoover to get into certain items.

The S1 Pro does a great job of cleaning up messes from hard floors, thanks to its rotating mop head, which puts 2.2lbs (1kg) of downward pressure on the floor. Its ability to mop and vacuum is a great choice for homes that have both types of flooring. However, its dependence on Eufy cleaning products (which are included in the box) could make it less versatile as other robots that allow you to add your own cleaning products.
