WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost in specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item upgrader kit by 3. A random substat is also increased with each upgrade.

Upgraded gear generally sees greater value for trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item level upgrade will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader at least once every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.

The cost of upgrades will depend on the current item level of the item being upgraded but they will always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment from other sources. For instance upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points purchasing a similar piece from a different player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items that can be used to upgrade weapons tools, armor, and other accessories. They can be purchased by players through item upgrader NPCs in exchange for different currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor with the help of button, which will show a preview of the item at its next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.

The upgrade cost depends on the item Level upgrade slot and the current item level as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than bracers or gloves, for instance. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with some upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of the Flightstones or crests used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain degree it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.
