WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of the item by +3. A random additional substat is also increased with every upgrade.

The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variation (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as important for those with higher variance due to the need to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities, and can be visited anytime to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended to visit the upgrader once every few weeks, to keep your equipment up to date.

The cost of upgrading will depend on the current Best item upgrader level of the item being upgraded however, they will always be cheaper than purchasing new gear from other sources. For example upgrading a Benthic chest piece to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points while buying a similar item from a different player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items that can be used to improve the quality of weapons tools, armor, and accessories. They can be bought by players through NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for different currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased it can be used on any weapon or tool with a button, which displays an Item Level Upgrade's preview when it is upgraded when the player has enough materials.

Upgrade costs vary depending on the Best item upgrade slot, and the current item level. For instance weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades offer a discount on the Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain degree it is able to be degraded and returned to the upgrader for a lesser amount of both currencies.

A lot of locations offer upgraders for items which include the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount as well as a chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases with the number of items being upgraded. It can also be boosted by having players complete some specific achievements or quests.

In Season 3, the upgrade system has been altered a bit, with numerous new features added. Crests

Players have a variety of options when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more special, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an important part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.

First, you should know that crests are only available for equipment with a certain rank. Each rank has a different upgrade path. The simplest and easiest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complex upgrade can require up to 20 crests, depending on the type or gear being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through completing content at the appropriate level. This could be by doing outdoor activities, or by doing dungeons or raids in any difficulty to earn lower-tier gear or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons with heroic difficulty for gear in the endgame. Crests can be exchanged at an item upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to obtain the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.

Using these new currencies isn't too difficult however, the system introduces some changes to the overall upgrade process. Once a piece of gear reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it will no longer require Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible level on all of their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also crucial to choose crests in a wise manner, as they are only used for one purpose. For instance it's a good idea make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests on the Best item upgrader gear you have available, and then save Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you plan on making. This is especially true for items such as trinkets and rings that take up multiple slots. The discount for the entire account will only apply when all slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
